Finally after several weeks of hot summer building, MoMA’s PopRally is set for their hot sold-out preview party.

“Paper City” at Mixed Greens in Chelsea opened July 10, 2008 with a playful summer show featuring 12 artists who have reimagined the humble medium of paper as colorful and pretty sculptures, site-specific installations, and video.

A last look at one of NYAB’s favorite pieces, from one of the best shows of the summer—Olafur Eliasson’s “Take Your Time” at MoMa and P.S.1, which closes June 30.

The Project, coexisting quite peacefully on 57th Street with its more blue chip neighbors, held its opening reception for their summer group show “The Left Hand of Darkness” on June 26, 2008.

Salon Gallery in London brings their recent graduates’ show stateside with “U.K.’s Future Greats in NY,” curated by Samir Ceric. Now on view at White Box Gallery in Chelsea through July 5, 2008.

What I like to call a make-it-to-go station at least gives the impression that the art works are selling really quickly.

Opening night at Casey Kaplan Gallery

This week kicked off with a Monday opening of Anish Kapoor show in two Gladstone galleries in Chelsea. It is also the 21st Street gallery’s inaugural show.

Chief Magazine features a lot of photography and twice a year, selected photos from the magazine get showcased in an exhibition. Its Spring show has just started in the Bedford area.

Getting to Winkleman Gallery requires a relatively long walk to the very far North-West corner of Chelsea gallery area. It did not stop a sizable crowd from making it to the opening reception of the Rory Donaldson’s new photography exhibition.
