TEMP is a contemporary art space in lower Manhattan. Our mission is to promote emerging artists and curators through exhibitions, performances, and collaborations. Encouraging creative discourse, TEMP is a place for experimentation, ingenuity, and talent in the arts.
About Ari & Alex

Ari Lipkis and Alex Ahn are the directors of TEMP. The two met at New York University where they studied art history and were co-presidents of the school’s Fine Arts Society. They organized many prominent events for the student organization including symposia, lectures, and museum tours. Both have an intense passion for art. One can often find them at a coffee shop discussing artists, artworks, and exhibitions.

Ari is a 3rd generation New Yorker who grew up on the Upper West Side. He specialized in early Italian Renaissance art and architecture. His favorite artists include Giotto, Fra Angelico, van Eyck, David, and Egon Schiele.

Alex is from Los Angeles and moved to New York to attend school. He specialized in late Modernist American painting. His favorite artists include Titian, Goya, Matisse, Morris Louis, and Kenneth Noland.
