Each year in honor of Pride month in New York, NEXT Magazine puts out a call for photographers to submit images that represent the rich tapestry of contemporary gay life for an annual photo contest. This year’s submissions included a wide variety of photos, from the candid to the meticulously styled, from the campy to the profound. Nine finalists were chosen that represent the best of the best, selected by NEXT editors in cooperation with the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art.
