“International Painting III” A Juried Exhibition
Jeffrey Leder Gallery
This event has ended.
A few have said that painting is dead, but alas it is flourishing as never before. There is great work being done, on the level of Gerhard Richter, Susan Swartz, Tomma Abts and David Hockney, to name just a few. Over time painters have increasingly gained the freedom to invent their own visual language. To experiment with representational and non-representational art through new forms, unconventional materials and techniques. Jeffrey Leder Gallery has selected over 20 painters from 10 countries for this exhibit. The range of art being presented is wide - from highly representational to total abstraction. The unifying impression sought is of an evocative, emotional and aesthetic exhibit.
“Art is the highest form of hope” Gerhard Richter
“Painting completes my life” Frida Kahlo
“I dream of painting, then I paint my dream” Vincent Van Gogh
The Jeffrey Leder Gallery will present an expansive exhibit: “International Painting NYC III.” The exhibit will occupy 2 floors of the gallery. We are located in LIC, New York City: 8 minutes from Manhattan, around the corner from MoMA PS1 Museum, 2 blocks from the Sculpture Center and 6 Blocks from the Noguchi Musuem.
