“Reconfigured” Exhibition
Timothy Taylor
This event has ended.
Gabriella Boyd, Socket, 2020.
Forthcoming ExhibitionTimothy Taylor presents Reconfigured, an exhibition of new work by ten young artists living and working in the U.K., who explore the body in painting, sculpture, film, animation, and photography.
Reconfigured features works by Isabella Benshimol Toro, Gabriella Boyd, Polly Brown, Matt Copson, Onyeka Igwe, Patrick H. Jones, Olu Ogunnaike, George Rouy, Mike Silva and Jala Wahid. The work of each of these artists reveals how a new generation of artists in Britain is challenging the visual traditions and cultural assumptions surrounding the depiction of the figure.
A program of events will run alongside the exhibition, inviting New York-based poets, curators, critics, and musicians to share their own perspectives on changing approaches to the human form and personal identity.
The exhibition will be held in a temporary exhibition space at 518 West 19th Street, directly across the street from Timothy Taylor New York, and will be accompanied by an artist-led journal.
