The “Chinese New Generation 10 Female Artists Exhibition” sponsored by the World Arts Education Corporation (WAEC). This exhibition selects the works of 10 outstanding young female artists from the bachelor and master’s graduation exhibition of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China. It presents the life picture of the young generation and their spiritual exploration from a female perspective, demonstrating the diversity
and experimentation of the current female creation.

The exhibition focuses on women’s unique thinking about life, culture and society. It explores women’s important issues such as body and gender, and expresses women’s pluralistic “love” to the world, including their concern for human history, social events, self-examination, and their simple love for food and petals. As a gender instinct of women, this multi-dimensional fraternity injects vitality of freedom, peace, goodness and beauty into their works, and also represents the ideal of life they pursue and the voice they convey to the outside world.

Under the background of globalization, the creation of art from the Chinese new generation is becoming more and more diversified. New concepts, international horizons, independent personal consciousness and diversified expression make the new generation artists break through the existing concepts, materials, symbols and images. They wander between the spirit of traditional culture and the reality of contemporary society, changing people’s inherent understanding of contemporary art with open attitude and delicate perception, to show their vigorous artistic creativity.

This exhibition is expected to show the thorough reflection of Chinese young female artists on history and times, and their honest exploration of art and self-spirit. Under the current complex and changing international background, this exhibition also opens a window for the world to understand Chinese art and culture, and strives to promote cultural diversity, cross-cultural communication and dialogue.
