This event has ended.

Mark Lewis’ striking images of Tulsa streets, produced in graphite on paper, blend the familiar and the unfamiliar. Complex impressions of an urban geometry – street lights, people, signs and wires – accumulate under expansive skies. The artist describes his process as “…discovering and revealing, finding content in the collage narrative rather than knowing what will occur on any given day – the ordinary is extraordinary.”

The exhibition includes a series of “street fiction” works in watercolor, graphite and mixed media that visualize fictional street protests, and pose contemporary issues within a framework of opposing ideologies.
