Calico presents an exhibition of recent works by Christian DeFilippo. DeFilippo is inspired by patterns, the natural world, other artwork he sees, and the constant display of images, shapes, colors, and patterns that present themselves to those of us living in NYC.

DeFilippo’s most recent works involve flashe paint on paper and canvas. Subjects range from the commonplace to the abstract, with the overall connection being the artist’s unique approach to painting and keen sense of space and color.

Christian DeFilippo received his BFA from the painting department of the Rhode Island School of Design in 2002. He is currently living and working in Ridgewood, Queens.
