Shepherd Gallery has had the good fortune of presenting Jessica Tcherepnine’s extraordinary botanical watercolors, for which she received many honors and awards, in a series of five exhibitions from 1983 to 2008. The current exhibition comprises all the watercolors left in her estate upon her death on December 31, 2018. Most of the works have been brought to completion and others reveal her working process. We have included these because, as one of her admirers has expressed, “there’s a great deal of charm and learning to be had in these drawings.”
