Join Shandaken Projects and the 2019 cohort of Paint School for an exhibition of work related to their session’s theme of Color.

Participating artists include Ana Cardoso, Dominique Fung, Adam Henry, Simone Kearney, James Case Leal, Sharon Madanes, Bridget Mullen, Zoe Avery Nelson, RJ Messineo, Kaveri Raina, Dylan Vandenhoeck, and Xiaofu Wang.

Inspired by alternative educational initiatives like Black Mountain College, Paint School is unaccredited but extraordinarily rigorous, and presented in the style of a post-graduate fellowship. Meetings of this program took place throughout New York City, at partner institutions including The Cooper Union, New York University, and The New School, among others. The 2019 Paint School fellows were mentored by luminaries of contemporary painting including Matt Connors, Anoka Faruqee, Jennie C. Jones, Carrie Moyer, Amy Sillman, and William Villalongo.
