Tigran Tsitoghdzyan is a visual artist who currently lives and works in New York City. He was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1976. In 1986, at the age of ten, over a hundred of Tigran’s childhood paintings were chosen by Henrik Iguityan to be displayed in a solo exhibition in Armenia which thereafter traveled to the US, Russia, Japan and Spain. Ten years later he migrated to Europe and then later in 2009 to the US. His works, comprising of contemporary art quality and a bold, intriguing, personal expression, are now experiencing a phenomenal uprise with a growing resonance on the international scene.

Tigran beautifully captures the feminine gaze and allure in his works while maintaining a deep and ethereal mystery behind its composition. The simultaneously hidden and revealed faces in his portraits are starkly contrasting. To hide and be hidden juxtaposed with seeing and being seen. The dichotomy of the natural vs societal pressures and motivations faced by women today are ever present in his works. The depth and beauty of his pieces have positioned him as a tour de force in the international art world and has cemented his position as one of the best hyper-realistic painters alive.
