This event has ended.

Timothy Taylor presents Cosmos within a cosmos, an exhibition of new work by Eduardo Terrazas. This is the artist’s second solo exhibition with the gallery, and his first solo exhibition in New York since 1974.

Now 81, Terrazas is a founding member of the Mexico City contemporary art scene, with a career that has combined art, design, and architecture. He first received international recognition for his design of the logo and urban plan for the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, which combined the concentric, geometric forms and folk-art techniques that have defined his visual language since.

Cosmos within a cosmos will feature geometric paintings made using the traditional Huichol technique of hand-pressing strands of colorful wool into a wax surface. Terrazas will also create an integrated environment for the gallery, expanding the geometry from the individual works into painted modules across the walls and ceiling, along with colorful bespoke benching.
