This event has ended.

Wild whirling brushstrokes of raw visceral color reveal abstract human figures inhabiting dreamscapes. Joyce Parcher continues to explore her inner and outer reality by exhibiting paintings made this year and in years past, presenting a retrospective. In her tableaus, real and imagined creatures-cavorting monkeys, swooping birds, dancing bears, dazzling chickens-romp with figures that jump in and out of scale, perspective, and mood. By juggling these disparate elements, Parcher reveals her passion and compassion for paint and people.

“figuring it out/ then and now” is Joyce Parcher’s 11th exhibition at Ceres Gallery. Parcher has shown in numerous group shows including Guild Hall and Town Hall in East Hampton, NY, The Islip Art Museum, Elaine Benson Gallery, and Mills Pond House. She has been reviewed in The New York Times by Helen Harrison.
