This event has ended.

In celebration of SHIN GALLERY’s fifth anniversary, we are excited to announce the opening of Omakase at 68 Orchard Street in New York. Translating to “I’ll leave it up to you,” omakase is an expression often used by patrons at sushi restaurants, indicating they will leave the selection of fish up to the chef rather than ordering à la carte. Diners requesting omakase trust the chef to serve fish of the highest quality in an innovative, oftentimes surprising manner.

Kicking off 2018, our Omakase exhibition will feature a “chef’s choice” selection of art. Gallerists and curators are so often put in a tight corner, being forced to select works within the confines of a single theme. At SHIN GALLERY, we strive to be more creative, and Omakase continues our commitment to presenting art with an avant-garde approach.

We will offer an omakase menu featuring the best works by Hyon Gyon, Richard Serra, Keunmin Lee, Daniel Spoerri, Crack Rodriguez, Eamon Ore-Giron, J. PARK, and an unknown painter of the Venetian School. There is no theme, there are no limitations - it is simply the best of the best.
