This event has ended.

Artacademy-USA Manhattan-based gallery and art studio presents a solo exposition of New York artist Cassedy Jenkins. This is Cassedy’s first showing at Artacademy-USA following her notorious exhibition at Uzbekistan national Museum.

Cassedy Jenkins occupies an important role in the artist-historian mix where she transcends the wonders of meticulously crafted narratives taken from the daily life of sometimes unbelievably far countries. She searches for the forms digging down deep into the culture, almost dissolving into the mainstream of native habitat. Her work can truly be both artistic and scientific as all landscapes and places are authentic and each picture radiates local folklore with it’s unique story.

This balance of Azerbaijan culture of the region and psychology is the underlying theme of her exhibition that follows the painter’s research in the fairy tales, stories and tribal art of the East.
Cassedy Jenkins was born in New Jersy in 1975 and received her BFA in oil painting from San Francisco Art Institute after MFA from Californian University of arts followed in 1982.

Afterward, she has been invited to local exhibitions therefore no willing to succumb to the conformist artistic flow Cassedy decides to look for inspiration in the African continent in 1985 arriving in Johannesburg. Her group show followed the same year where almost all works were sold.
