Neither the Other or Myself is an exhibition by Alumnae Artist Lauren Simkin Berke. Berke will be showing a new body of work, a collection of large painted portraits of the artist’s mother. This is Berke’s fifth solo exhibition in New York City (their third at A.I.R. Gallery). The portraits show the artist’s mother from childhood through adulthood. The reference material used includes both photographs taken by family members, and the artist themself.
