This event has ended.

The works on view in Liminal Kingdom show intertwined figures existing in simple, if not serene spaces, hovering between the real and the imagined. At times, precise moments of symmetry are captured and patterns emerge as the figures wrap and overlap, pointing to some balance amidst the absurdity of reality or near-reality.

The word liminal describes a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold. These works in many ways mark a transition—both in their subdued nature and the medium in which they’ve been executed—demarcating an important transition for the artist personally, while also relating to the occupations of the world at large.
