“Hardcore Architecture: Where NY Bands Lived in the 1980s” Exhibition

ABC No Rio

This event has ended.

Hardcore Architecture explores the relationship between the architecture of living spaces and the history of underground American hardcore bands in the 1980s. Hardcore Architecture uses Google Street View, combined with contact addresses from demo and record reviews published in the magazine MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL, to capture photos of the homes associated with 1980s bands. Since the project began in 2014, over 470 band-related homes have been included on the website http://hardcorearchitecture.tumblr.com
