This event has ended.

Emmanuel Fremin Gallery presents Crossroads of the World, an exhibition featuring a new body of work from French photographer Christophe Pouget and Taiwanese sculptor Hung Yi.

Recomposing urban landscapes and cities around the world, Pouget is only guided by his own philosophical belief. “One can follow many paths in life, but we all leave traces of our passage somewhere, in places where someone else was before us and did the same thing”. The photographic assemblages created allude to the fragmentary culture of contemporary society, in a visual and metaphorical way, the artist gives us back the lost fragments of our memory.

Yi creates animated and personified interpretations of animals based on symbols from Taiwan which are traditionally believed to be lucky. He decorates the whimsical sculptures with traditional Taiwanese patterns and texts that are aligned with good fortune. Yi’s works are displayed in many locations not only in Taiwan, including airports, theater halls, elementary schools and universities but all around the world.
