The culmination of two years of on-the-ground research and development in the three states. Part of Nick & Jake’s 50 STATES project, a series of 50 large scale installations to be completed over the next several decades, in response to little-known pre-Stonewall LGBTQ histories from each state, the work asserts that our nation’s LGBTQ histories, while under-recognized, are an integral part of our regional and national identities.
