Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation and Dee and Ricky launch “The Wonderful World of Dee and Ricky” - a visual art exhibition highlighting over 20 contemporary artists.

In the Wonderful World of Dee & Ricky, you’ll find it impossible to not be inspired. Through the wide variety of artistic styles presented by each of the of selected influential contemporary artists, Dee and Ricky urges the viewer to savor in the experience and leave the exhibition with food for thought and even left overs.

Each artist that has been selected for this exhibit is not only extraordinary in his or her own right, but they have immensely impacted the lives of Dee and Ricky. Without these artists their world would not exist as it does today. They have helped to breath life into their vision and encourage Dee and Ricky to continue to pass this mentorship, thoughtfulness, and creativity on to others.

The featured artists Include, Stephen “Espo” Powers, Timothy “AGUA “Curtis, Mark Gonzales, Futura, The Josh Craig, Maggie Trakas, Niel Harbisson, Moon Ribas, Bradly Theodore, Renee Cox, Harry McNally, Bobby Waltzer, Kunle “Earsnot” Martins, Sam Cannon, Naturel, Francesa Facciola, Pascale Girardin, Eric Haze, Ben Solomon, Arvid Logan, Sean Vegezzi, Jamel Robinson, Dee and Ricky, Russ and Reyn, and Kyle Dorez.

During the exhibition’s duration the gallery will host a Lego workshop with Dee and Ricky on Saturday, June 25th from 3-5pm. Dee and Ricky will explore the process behind the creation of their iconic Lego hearts as seen worn by numerous celebrity artist, actors, and musicians. All events are free and open to the public. Dee & Ricky Jackson are American fashion and accessory designers. One of their first fashion collaborations was with Marc Jacobs for his Spring 2008 line. The twin brother duo collaborated with Puma (2016), Casio G-shock in 2010 and 2011, Barneys New York (2010) Pepsi (2010) PONY (2011, 2012, and 2013), Joy Rich (2012), Trek BMX Bikes (2012), and Starter (2008, 2014).

Dee and Ricky Jackson are known for their colorful and quirky Lego-based designs.They continue to sell their Lego brooch pieces and accessory pieces on their website, www.deeandricky.com. Often, dubbed as “the twins” or “the SOHO kids” Dee and Ricky are well known for their dancing talents too.

Following their high profile collaborations they launched an eponymous label called, “Dee and Ricky”. They have transformed street style fashion items like varsity jackets into gym bags and Lego pieces into jewelry. They served as Converse CONS Ambassadors and have held design workshops at CONS Project BKN.
