This event has ended.

Pivot is an international, multi-venue group art exhibition exploring processes of consuming and subsuming through multimedia, sculpture, sound, and research lecture. The show features work from artists based in Philadelphia, Copenhagen, Denmark, San Pedro, New York and Boston.

Nadia Botello (Philadelphia, PA) installs a large, interactive sound installation inspired by how sound passes through bodies of water. Karl Sandegård (Copenhagen, Denmark) shows multiple sculptural works that relate to lung capacity and making tangible what is normally invisible. Misha Rabinovich & Caitlin Foley (Boston, MA / San Pedro, CA.) will be presenting new work based on their research with OpenBiome, a microbiota development lab in Boston. Curated by Will Owen.

On November 6th a show with the same theme and name will open in Philadelphia at Little Berlin Gallery. The two shows will be mirror images of each other, but with slight variations, like concave and convex mirrors.

Additionally, November 21st at 11 am there will be a performance and lecture series on a Chinatown bus running from New York to Philadelphia and back the same evening at 6 pm. Beverage service, snacks and a light dinner is included. Need to RSVP.
