This event has ended.

RESTLESS: Unable to stay still or quiet, ceaselessly active, and or continuously moving.
EDGE: The line or part where an object or area begins or ends: the part of a blade that cuts: the sharpness of a blade.

Todd Williamson and Elizabeth Gregory-Gruen investigate lines, light, movement and edges in their perspective mediums at the Ivy Brown Gallery this fall. Each artist has a relationship with coming to the edge and its endless and restless possibilities. Both are constantly pushing themselves and expanding their artistic perimeter, which can easily be seen in their current bodies of work.
The constant examination and exploration of their art are palpable and radiates off the surface.

Elizabeth Gregory-Gruen explores the human condition in a meditative spontaneous free–hand cutting technique called “Cut-Work”. Each cut layer is elemental to the vibration and energy of humanity. The first “Cut-Work” series was exhibited at Ivy Brown Gallery in 2008. Elizabeth currently resides in New York City.

Todd Williamson (’64, Cullman Alabama) is a Los Angeles contemporary artist that has exhibited in Japan, China, Italy, Germany, Korea, Spain, and the United States. He attended the American Academy in Rome Italy, Nuove Opere Napoltane in Naples Italy, the Skopelos Foundation-Skopelos Greece, the Scuola Internazionale di grafic Venice Italy, and the Louise Bourgeois’ Artists Salon NY NY. He has representation in New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Naples, Milan, Houston, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami.
