BravinLee programs presents Paper Route 66. BravinLee has invited 6 curators from 6 U.S. cities to select three artists from their respective regions. The show will include 18 works on paper. We are excited to announce the following curators and artists:

Amy Mackie is a curator and writer based in New Orleans. She is also Co-Director of PARSE She was previously Director of Visual Arts at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans and prior to that, Curatorial Associate at the New Museum in New York. She holds an M.A. from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. Mackie was recently profiled in Artnews and Artinfo. New Orleans artists: Jennifer Odem, Brooke Pickett, Jessie Vogel

Paul Middendorf is the founder/Executive Director of galleryHOMELAND in Portland and Houston. In 2010, he was selected as the guest juror for The Big Show at Lawndale Art Center and he has remained in the region as a curator and artist since. He has collaborated with arts organizations worldwide, including PS1 NY, and the Istanbul Biennale. In 2009 he co-founded The EAST/WEST project, a nonprofit exhibition space and residency in Berlin that fostered an active arts residency exchange between Europe and the US. Amanda Sanfilippo is an independent curator and the Development Director of Locust Projects Miami. She is the curator of Fringe Projects for site-determined temporary public artworks commissioned by the Miami Downtown Development Authority and Miami Dade County Art in Public Places for DWNTWN Art Days. Previously, she was a curatorial resident at Cannonball, Miami and also founded the Miami curator’s symposia. Miami artists: Cara Despain, Alan Gutierrez, Justin H. Long

Jennifer Junkermeier is a Detroit-based curator and writer. Her most recent curatorial endeavor was a two-year project working with a team of five international curators on 5C5C, an international traveling exhibition. The exhibition, which included 14 artists from five cities, explored individual artistic practice in a global context. In 2013, Junkermeier co-founded Infinite Mile a monthly online Detroit-based art journal that aims to foster critical discourse in support of art and culture in Detroit. Freddy is a unique space in Baltimore run by a sometimes-anonymous artist who shows internationally and also pens a well- known blog. Freddy is a temporary, site-specific project that “could easily mutate into other forms in the future”. The gallery, which opened in June 2014, will continue bringing high quality exhibitions to Baltimore in addition to introducing the work of Maryland-based artists to a broader audience. Amanda Donnan and Kim Beck have teamed up to represent Pittsburgh. Kim Beck is an artist who works across media. She currently has work up at the Indianapolis Museum of Art’s 100 Acres, Art Omi Sculpture Park, I-70 Sign Show, and is developing a project with Blue Star Contemporary in San Antonio. She teaches at Carnegie Mellon and has organized shows in Pittsburgh and beyond. Amanda Donnan is curator of Carnegie Museum of Art’s Time-Based Media Project and was assistant curator of the 2013 Carnegie International. She has organized several shows for the museum’s Forum series and was one of the curators of the 2014 Pittsburgh Biennial.
