This event has ended.

Fuku was Born in 1975 Japan, lives in Tokyo.
As a child, she liked to draw and drew pictures often.
She won a prize when she drew a picture of the Town Musicians of Bremen at her kindergarten’s exhibition, but disliked the attention. From then on, she began to feel aversion towards drawing.
As she spent time with an artist friend at high school, she started to draw pictures herself. When she showed her artwork to her mother, she learned that her father who she hasn’t seen since childhood also used to draw, and she started wanting to become a better artist. She attended Setsu Mode Seminar to study drawing. She met artists Setsu Nagasawa and Taiyo Matsumoto, who greatly influenced her, and she became even more engrossed in drawing. She liked drawing pictures as if writing letters, and started using water-based ballpoint pen that is easier to draw details and fills evenly with, but later used pastels to draw warming works as well.
She imagines stories when drawing. She wishes for those who see the pictures to imagine the story too and feel something, and delights in realizing that.
