This event has ended.

LaRotonda offers an interpretation of man’s exploration of sacred and profane through the lens of an untainted humanity. He presents the search for the divine through a unique pallet that strips the human subject of eccentricities and shows the bare character juxtaposed against the somber expression of sacred iconography. We at Sacred Gallery invite you to join in the journey that Craig has displayed as his characters quest for the answers that man has sought since time immemorial.

In my show “Out of The Light of Darkness,” I continue to explore the theme of humanity’s search for enlightenment. I see these works as transportation for the mind rooted neither in time nor place.
This series of work explores the duality and complexity of existence, searching for answers to the universal questions of its meaning. My usual cast of characters appear again: bionic, organic, flawed, idealized, monstrous and beautiful - they all tell their unusual stories about the mysteries of life.
These pieces examine the nature of consciousness, and the struggles of humanity. Reality is much more than what we perceive with our five senses, and they don’t necessarily give us the “whole” story. I’m engaged by the spaces in-between; like the passage between life and death which plays as a continuous theme in my artwork.
