“Milk & Oysters” Exhibition

Ed. Varie presents Milk & Oysters, a group photography exhibition curated by Alldayeveryday. In celebration of Allday’s visual culture this group exhibition will include limited edition work of eleven long-time friends and frequent Allday Digest contributors: Matt Baron, Miyako Bellizzi, Petra Collins, David Brandon Geeting, Leigh Patterson, Kathy Lo, Sean Maung, Eva Michon, Clement Pascal, Jody Rogac and Magdalena Wosinska.
As Renaissance still-life paintings often feature tables piled high with discordant ingredients; a giant lobster spread over red grapes, fresh duck lying over cheese and pomegranates, raw shellfish coupled with berries, milk paired with oysters.
The juxtaposition of these ingredients confuses the senses and leaves the viewer with an intoxicating feeling of abundance. Similarly, the variety of talent that makes up the Allday network is potentially disjointed for a group exhibition, but just as the Renaissance married the unexpected and accumulated delicious ingredients, so does Allday with this group photo show.
