Michael Mazur: Stoneham Zoo (1976-1979) features a renowned body of work that includes large-scale paintings and pastels of primates in captivity. Mazur has taken a longstanding interest in the individual human condition and society’s role in exploitative policies. This is the first time the works have been on view in New York since the critically-acclaimed show at Robert Miller Gallery in 1980.
