Opening day of Imagine This, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition’s Fall Group Art Show which presents one open show and three juried shows in one sweeping exhibition. There’s the work of BWAC’s 200 exhibiting artists displayed in an open narrative show that marries visual art with the written word; Art in Clay II Figuratively Speaking, a regional juried show of 50+ non-utilitarian clay works; an art show of work created exclusively on smart phones & tablets and displayed on large monitors, and a special photography show. Plus the Ground Floor Gallery has been completely transformed by a dozen giant site specific installations, some with sound or video, some interactive.
BWAC shows have been cited by Crains NY Business and Smart Money as a prime venue for collecting original works by emerging and established artists at bargain prices.
Come see BWAC’s opening extravaganza in now-hip Red Hook, Brooklyn. It’s steps away from edgy new bars, restaurants and shops and only a short walk to IKEA and Fairway megastores.
