Ouma was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1979. She graduated from Azabu University majoring in veterinary science. After graduation, she worked as a vet and was keen about pathology for a while. In 2011, she started her contemporary art activity. In January 2013, she held the exhibition “The art of self-healing and self-certification” which she covered the gallery’s whole wall by drawing papers. She likes to live the world as a living creature and she makes art works that make people realize the connection with others.
