This event has ended.

“I have also been called one thing and then another while no one really wished to hear what I called myself.” -Ralph Ellison, Invisible Man

The work of this year’s thesis exhibition embraces diverse creative techniques and strategies that range from photography and video to graphic design and sculpture, and from the deeply personal to the broadly cultural.

In the words of participating artist Kalen Na’il Roach, “Each individual in this show may call him-or herself something different, such as artist, designer, illustrator, photographer, etc. Yet the power of self-determination lies with each of us. It’s time to take possession over that power-ourselves, our work, our vision, and our desires. It’s time for each one of us to be able to say ‘This is mine and I am here to defend it.’”
