Pablo Picasso “The Printmaker: An Intimate View”
The National Arts Club
This event has ended.
Marquis Gallery
The National Arts Club collaborates with the John Szoke Gallery in presenting an intimate exploration of Pablo Picasso as a printmaker. Regarded as the most significant printmaker since Rembrandt, Picasso made people rethink prints as an art form through his use of various techniques, bold experimentation and imaginative and seductive themes. The exhibition will feature ten important prints, including selections from the Suite Vollard, created between 1930 and 1951.
John Szoke, an internationally recognized expert on the graphic work of Picasso, will join us on March 11 for an informal talk on the featured prints and Picasso’s significant contribution to the art of printmaking.
