Judy Russell studied at the University of New Mexico and received her degree from the School of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania. She also studied at the Sorbonne, Academie Julien, Ecole du Louvre, in Paris, France, and Denison University in Granville, OH. She has taught at the Cathedral School of St. John the Divine in New York City, the Art Department in the Boston Public Schools, and at the University of New Mexico. Russell has also curated shows at the 55 Mercer Gallery and a portrait show at Rusk Institute in New York City. Judy Russell has participated in numerous shows in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Illinois, and Virginia.
