This event has ended.

“Hymns for Mr. Suzuki” considers how continued, repetitive exposure to televisual media can become metaphorically imprinted upon the body. A group exhibition, “Hymns for Mr. Suzuki” comprises a generationally and geographically expansive list of artists who critically respond to issues surrounding media saturation, identity formation, rote learning, and queer and female subjectivity.

“Hymns for Mr. Suzuki” is curated by 2012-2013 AIRspace Curator-in-Residence Karen Archey with curatorial assistant Kyle Dancewicz
Artists: Kate Davis, Ann Hirsch, Servane Mary, Ken Okiishi, Leslie Thornton, Hito Steyerl
