Broome Street Gallery presents its latest group exhibition featuring artists of the past forty years, who have worked, lived and inspired the city’s creative epicenter.

Downtown is a local examination between two generations of artists who are brought together by way of their lineage from downtown Manhattan. From Andy Warhol’s ‘Factory’ in Union Square, and Christopher Wool’s studio in Chinatown, to Lesny JN Felix in neighboring Lower East Side, a common thread has drawn this wide-ranging group of artists to be inspired by and create from their surroundings. Despite the gap in age, social circumstances or pedigree, the two schools of artists both adopt a candid vocabulary that reflects upon the eccentricities of their shared geographies. The exhibit includes a variety of media such as painting, photography, screen print, and more.
