This event has ended.

Brooklyn Oenology Winery (‘EN-ology, or simply ‘BOE’), a locally-focused winery which presents the work of Brooklyn artists on its bottle labels, is pleased to announce the release of BOE 2010 Chardonnay, and a solo show of work by artist Sonomi Kobayashi, whose 2008 oil work ‘Synchronicity #11’ is featured on the 2010 Chardonnay label.

With rich hues of gold and patinated copper, Sonomi Kobayashi’s sumptuous oil painting ‘Synchronicity #11’ is the perfect visual pairing for this wine. ‘Synchronicity #11’ and several pieces from this and Kobayashi’s other series will be on display in a solo show of her work at the Brooklyn Oenology Tasting Room in Williamsburg. The reception is open to the public and all are invited.

Sonomi Kobayashi was born and grew up in Japan and moved to New York in 1993. She studied at the Art Students League of New York from 1995 to 2002, painting with William Scharf, Knox Martin, Larry Poons, and sculpting with Jonathan Shahn. She now works out of her studio in Bushwick Brooklyn, NY and exhibits frequently in the United States, Japan, and Europe. Recent Exhibitions include: Solo Exhibition at Showroom Galerie ARTAe, Leipzig, Germany; OUCHI Gallery, NY; Group Shows at Gitana Rosa Gallery, Brooklyn, NY, Participating in Yatsuo Slow Art Show, Toyama, Japan; AAF New York, and other art fairs in Cologne, Copenhagen and Miami.
