Above and Below is an exhibition of late works by Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978), focusing in particular on his activities as a filmmaker. Curated by Jessamyn Fiore, the show features the artist’s explorations in subterranean New York and Paris alongside building cuts and projects involving aerial elevation.
Ms. Fiore was also the curator of the exhibition 112 Greene Street: The Early Years (1970-1974) held at David Zwirner in New York in 2011, and the editor of the critically acclaimed book by the same title, published in 2012.
