CANADA presents the second solo exhibition by Joanna Malinoswka, “A Hawk from a Handsaw”. This is the inaugural exhibition in CANADA’s new location on Broome Street near Bowery.
Joanna Malinowska was born in 1972 in Gdynia, Poland. Recent exhibitions include “Mother Earth Sister Moon” at the Zacheta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw, Poland, The 2012 Whitney Biennial, “The Shape of Things to Come”, Saatchi Gallery, London, England. Ms. Malinowska was awarded a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2013, Guggenheim Fellowship in 2009 among other awards. Ms. Malinowska graduated from Yale University with a Master’s in Fine Arts in 2001.
