This event has ended.

Karen Nicol is a fashion and interiors embroidery and mixed media textile designer. She has been established in her London based design studio for over twenty five years making textiles for clients in the world of fashion such as Givenchy, Matthew Williamson, Marc Jacobs, Chloe and Vera Wang, and clients ranging from the King of Quatar to the Pope. For the past five years Karen’s work has embraced the creation of gallery art pieces and she has since been commissioned by Shell Oil to create an artwork to celebrate plankton and by St James’s Cancer Hospital in Leeds to do an embroidered triptych. At her first solo show at the Rebecca Hossack Gallery and at the Mantero gallery in Como, Italy, her work explored the mix of fashion and art. In 2012 Karen was selected for the Jerwood Contemporary Makers exhibition.
