"JADA 2012" Art Fair
The Ukrainian Institute of America, Inc.
This event has ended.
JADA 2012: An Exhibition by the Japanese Art Dealers Association is a joint exhibition by five of New York’s leading dealers in Japanese art, a mini-fair but with the art installed by period or theme rather than who owns it. Held at the Ukrainian Institute of America from March 17 – March 21, the exhibition will feature a number of exceptionally fine works in all media, from a 2000-year old Yayoi jar to a 19th century two-fold screen by Shiabata Zeshin: a master of lacquer, the screens are among the largest works he created and incorporate lacquer into a painting.
