This event has ended.

Munch Gallery presents ‘Ghost Yard’, a solo exhibition by Danish artist Frodo Mikkelsen. The exhibition includes all new work consisting of paintings, sculpture and site-specific installation.

Frodo is one of the young rising artists in Scandinavia and is steadily gaining international recognition; his latest with the inclusion of one of his silver skull sculptures into the 3-D collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. He has shown in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Russia, South Africa and the USA. His works are also represented in museum collections in Denmark and Norway.

The works in the exhibition are tied together by a fascination for abandoned places; deserted construction sites, train and ship yards, vacant, run down manufacturing buildings, old houses – all remote and restricted. Secrets and stories of past lives and perhaps even new beginnings all live here. Upon trespassing into these places, an imaginary life projects itself and it is translated by the artist into land and cityscapes, where uneasiness lurks and horses return without riders. There is always a way into Ghost Yard, but do you really want in?
