This event has ended.

Leonard's paintings and drawings are an incursion of ancient mythology into contemporary life. The grandeur and brutality of Egyptian wall painting and Gothic art are filtered through his passions for heavy metal and science fiction, then bolstered by his raw painterly touch and visionary color.

In his latest show of paintings the viewer is pulled into a modern day hell-mouth. The abyss there is the one within us all; a swirling maelstrom of conflict between opposing primal forces. Red vs blue. Abstract vs figurative. Male vs female. War rages in brushy landscapes of purple grey guts; a mirror of quotidian angst and pent aggression. The personal hell of the existential becomes a classical inferno, down in the pitt.
