This event has ended.

The cubistic compositions of Loren Munk recall the information-imaging techniques of Edward Tufte, not only in their bright colors and clean lines, but also in the amount of information Munk conveys in each piece. Adding research and documentation to his artistic toolbox gives Munk an edge in dissecting the complex interplay between personality, creativity, ambition and real estate that constitutes the New York art scene. Munk's critical intelligence comes into play in his alternate role as a critic and writer. His alter ego, James Kalm, provides Munk another point of entry to dissect contemporary art in New York. Through the medium of his online video program, Kalm documents and analyzes studio tours, gallery and museum openings, and other art world events, allowing the viewer to become immersed in the insider‟s experience even as Munk himself assumes an implied critical distance from it.
