The optical effect—a visual field with shifting viewpoints—is central in Donovan’s new drawings, made of thousands of nickel-headed steel pins. The artist’s fourth solo-exhibition at the gallery since joining in 2005 underlines and expands upon a perceptual concept which has defined much of her installation and sculptural work.
