This event has ended.

Wolf’s previous work was heavily process-based and explored issues of communication, nostalgia and loss. This new work represents both a departure and a continuation: while still placing a strong emphasis on process, it is more isolated and analytical. Lines are drawn between physical processes such as accretion, construction and vibration and mental processes such as the formation of memory, routine and arbitrary conviction.

While an implied sense of loss lingers in the work, what is more apparent is an attempt to restructure reality on purely physical terms, allowing the emotional and the spiritual to simply fall into place. These are blueprints, diagrams and records of the physically, concretely remade, mapped out both programmatically and on impulse, finding new paradigms and quickly abandoning them for others: curious, hopeful and a little panicked.
