The Vanishing Oceans Project is a multi-media collaborative piece created by visual artist/sculptor Linda Byrne and writer/musician Maggie Dubris. The songs of the sea, the sight of a dolphin leaping on the horizon, the magic of snorkeling to see a living coral reef, all this will be lost. This installation combines sculpture, drawings, sound and text to create an immersive environment highlighting the accelerating destruction of oceans, ocean life, and the maritime industry.
