Local Project is presents an exhibition Super Jumbo, by The Dust art collective, Keith Pavia and Alex Roediger.
Based out of Brooklyn, artist Keith Pavia, a fixture to the Outsider Art Fair and artist Alex Roediger, having most recently exhibited at Figment Festival on Governors Island, get together for regular high-speed drawing sessions, which provide the images and text for their installations, artist books, paintings and collages.
Super Jumbo is based on a series of small spontaneous portraits reinterpreted as paintings directly onto the walls of the Local Project Gallery space, creating large scale yet intimate statements. Each image is paired with text extolling funny and surprising proclamations on anxiety, sexuality, relationships and mortality. The exhibition will include a variety of the collective’s artist books.
