BravinLee programs presents Lisa Kellner’s paintings on Mylar. In her series titles, “Love is a Place” Kellner integrates puddles of raw pigments with thousands of tiny hand drawn circles, merging an unpredictable practice with a controlled one. She examines the moment when opposing forms collide, addressing the logistics of place, the events that happen there and the memories that linger. Her titles are derived from E.E. Cummings poetry combined with numbers of latitude and longitude coordinates of specific places she has experienced.
