Joyce Ellen Weinstein "Denial"
Ceres Gallery
This event has ended.
"During a residency at Europos Parkas Open Air Museum of the Center of Europe in Vilnius, Lithuania, I observed a group of employees from a local furniture factory practicing trusting and bonding exercises. Some people were blindfolded and others walked on tight ropes attached high up on the trees. I took many photographs documenting this activity. Later when I looked at the photos, I found the imagery very startling, intriguing, mysterious and ominous, lending them to interpretations related to the human condition. I reinterpreted these images into the series of silk screen/linoleum block prints I call Denial"
