Adam Krueger "Hello, My Name Is Missy, and I'm a Cutter"
Fuse Gallery
This event has ended.
Slicing into his hyperrealist figures, Krueger presents a dialogue of desire, displacement and self-reflection. He extensively labors over each piece, and then fearlessly destroys the surface by cutting, collaging and discarding the pieces. These altered images allow the viewer to place their desires in the voids, giving the work a reinvigorated reading.
Krueger received his B.F.A from the Rhode Island School of Design and his M.F.A from the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY. He has shown in group exhibitions at the David Zwirner Gallery, Marlborough Chelsea and most recently in The Open at Deitch Studios, Long Island City, NY. The artist lives and works on the Lower East Side.
